This symbol indicates The Moot Hall Maldon has followed government and industry Covid-19 guidelines and have a process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
The health and safety of our visitors and staff remains our top priority. We ask that everyone visiting the Moot Hall follow the latest government advice and follow these measures:
What to expect from your visit
We’ve introduced new measures for everyone’s safety. Although things might be a little different when you visit, you’ll still be able to enjoy a guided tour of the Moot Hall, and you’ll still be given a warm welcome by our friendly staff and volunteers.
We have reduced visitor numbers.
Our staff have been trained in hygiene and social distancing, and we’ve made sure they have the necessary PPE.
We will be using a one-way system and our team will help guide you with clear instructions to help you keep a safe distance. There are pinch points but with your patience and assistance we can still give you access to these areas and special features. Please try to remain at least 2 metres away from people outside your household.
Remember to bring a face covering with you. They’re mandatory in all our indoor public spaces including historic indoor buildings. We won’t be able to give you a face covering, so please come prepared so you don’t miss out.
We’re carrying out more frequent cleaning.
We’ve made hand sanitiser available for you to use at both our main entry and exit points.
We have updated our website to enable online booking and payment in advance of your visit.
We have also put in place onsite contactless payment, no cash.
Toilets are available – one person at a time.
Preparing for your visit
Once you choose your arrival date and time online, you’ll receive your booking confirmation by email. Just bring this with you, either on your mobile device or as a print out.
Without a valid booking confirmation, we won’t be able to let you in.
We want everyone to be able to enjoy the Moot Hall safely, so please:
Don’t visit if you have symptoms of COVID-19
Follow the Government and site guidelines on social distancing and hygiene
Keep an eye on children
Please remember to bring a face covering with you.
