Guided Tours of the building are on Saturdays and certain other days, see the events page for more details. Access for disabled people is limited to the ground floor for wheel chair users. The upper floors are only reached by narrow stairways.

Directions: Maldon is on the A414 from Chelmsford. From the A12, Hatfield Peverel via the B1019 From Colchester the B1022.

The nearest car park is a short walk away. There is no direct Rail link to Maldon. Nearest Railway station is at Hatfield Peverel. National Express East Anglia, Liverpool Street to Hatfield Peverel.

There is a bus service from Hatfield Peverel to Maldon. Number 73a Heddingham bus every 2 hours. Alternatively the Number 31 First bus from Chelmsford Station runs every 30 minutes.The taxi journey is approximately 10 minutes.
