On a clear day you can see for miles around from the MOOT HALL rooftop

This historic tower in the Town centre is probably the first secular, decorated brick-building of its kind in the country and set the standard for fortified manor houses in the days when owners might need to defend themselves, their family and their possessions from marauding bands of brigands.

Local Cancer Charities benefit from local effort!

Maldon’s historic MOOT HALL played host to a new fund-raising event that was opened by the Town Mayor Councillor Jeanette Stilts to help both cancer victims and cancer research on Saturday 26th of May 2018. The all-day event was organised by cancer survivor and Manager of the MOOT HALL Julie Miller and entitled Stand up to Cancer.
